Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is a rare complication of pregnancy. Authors presented a case of I.T.P. in pregnancy which was found after repeat C-section.

On exploratory laparotomy, about 3000cc of fresh blood and blood clots were found in the abdominal cavity and continuous oozing from C-section site of the lower segment, diffuse blood infiltration in the bladder wall. Subtotal hysterectomy was performed because of uncontrolled bleeding from C-section site.
